OUR STORY

After studying ceramics in college, Jim Kingwell began blowing glass in 1971. He founded Icefire Glassworks in 1975. He moved to Cannon Beach, Oregon, in 1991 and set up shop where Bill and Sally Worcester made their pieces.  Michelle Kaptur blew glass at Icefire from 1992 until she established her hot shop in Bend, and Suzanne Kindland joined Icefire in 1993.

 

Since then, Icefire Glassworks has grown to represent several glass artists, each with a unique take on the medium. Today, the gallery features the work of Jim, Suzanne Kindland, Mark Gordon, Kathleen Sheard, Jeff and Heather Thompson,  Teresa Kowalski, Laura Bowker, Anthony Parker, Steven Krig, David Haberer, Carel 
Shonerd, and Michael Heath.
